Insurance time, and I have multicar insurance with guaranteed value on the M Roadster. Kit car is insured elsewhere at the moment.
Howden came in at £875 for Range Rover, Smart and M Roadster (with guaranteed value).
Renewal from Lancaster was £1250, but I got them down to £870. I confirmed they wouldn't go any lower.
I went back to Howden, and they went down to £855, but what swayed it was the method of guaranteeing value.
Lancaster and Adrian Flux take a month to decide, and they want to know everything. It's a major exercise pulling together all the required imnformation.
Howden just want six photographs. Photos were e-mailed yesterday, and this morning I have confirmation of guaranteed valuation cover.
You may think this is not important, but the month it takes for the others to confirm is a month when you don't have guaranteed value cover. If anything happens, the valuation is the estimated book value of the car.
