It's a view. Max dived down the inside meaning Lewis had to take avoiding action to prevent being hit. Max won, end of and is Champion, it's not his fault that the Race Director had a mare.

I am happy to post that I watched the race at a local bar and had a few 🍺 but they had to close soon after the race finished.

The overtaking at the restart has been thrown out, as expected, I suspect the result won't be overturned, ot would be carnage. Just in, result stands. A very poor decision from the race director but then again it's not Maxs' fault so would've been harsh.
 
I demand a recount, it's not my fault my Team and predictions were pants :whistle:
 
Mercedes shot themselves in the feet for constantly not bringing Hamilton in for tyres. They blew it, simple as that.

Not so sure mate, they would've lost track position on a track that's difficult to overtake on. The right calls in my view based on initial info from race control. This changed and then bizarrely placed Max directly behind Lewis on brand new soft tyres Vs 30 lap old hard tyres, a sitting duck mate with no chance. Of course that's not Maxs' fault but a shocker from the Race Director. 7-1 to Lewis, roll on March 2022.
 
They had other chances though, the last one would not have worked. Massi has made a huge mess out of all this.

I almost wonder if Liberty had a say in it, "nevermind the rules, which option will create most excitement/controversy?"

Only half applying the unlapping the safety car rule was unfair on Lewis and Merc, who made their strategy call based on the 2 options the rules allowed. Merc needed to protest the stewards and race control! Even though I wanted Max to win, it must feel a slightly shallow victory in the RB camp. Had either no unlapping or all unlapping been applied, the result would have been as it was expected prior to Latifi's crash and Lewis would have won the race.

However, well done Grumps a fine win. Roll on next year!
