My favorite race of the year, don't forget your predictions, as this is the first race after the F1 summer holiday.

This should bring back some memories for the members who were at Spa Francorchamps last June.

65 Grid place penalty, what a load of nonsense! Does he start his race on Monday? :banghead:

Managing Director of Motorsports for Formula One, Ross Brawn speaking to Radio 5 live: "Seeing Michael's car around the circuit today was really emotional - it really brought a lump to my throat.

"Mick is a lovely lad and it would be great if he could forge a career in Formula 1. "

Oh well...
Just lost another load of points.....:rage:

Verstappen OUT

Max Verstappen is slowing. He's frantically trying different settings but none of them are working. He shakes his head as he prepares to park up.

That's a sixth retirement for the Dutchman, and here of all races...

Rachel T: Difficult to know who to feel more sorry for - Max or the massed orange ranks

Robert Kluytmans: Damn! another DNF for Max Verstappen. Get your act together Red Bull Racing

Mick Schumacher drives father's F1 car at Spa

Mick Schumacher completed an emotional demonstration lap in the Benetton B194 in the build-up to the Belgian Grand Prix, the car in which his father, Michael, claimed the 1994 Formula 1 title.

European Formula 3 racer Mick took to the circuit in the car, to mark the 25th anniversary of Schumacher's maiden Formula 1 victory at Spa-Francorchamps.

Speaking after his run, which he completed in front of thousands of fans, Schumacher said: "It was great, it was a pleasure for me; to be able to drive this is emotional, fun and amazing."

Team radio

Hamilton: "As soon as I drop a little bit of pace, Vettel catches up...."
Errm, yes Hamilton. That's how it tends to work.

It is fair to say Fernando Alonso's radio messages have been the most entertaining thing about this race. Not one that will make the classics documentaries at the moment.

Fernando Alonso tells his team he wants "no more radio for the rest of the race!"
Fernando Alonso, frustrations getting the better of him. Replays show him getting pretty aggressive with Palmer before retiring.

"Ah come on, he forced me right off the track," says Palmer.
