LAP CHART (after 10 laps) In other words, chaos...!

Rule 1 of driving a red Formula 1 car: don't hit the other red Formula 1 car...

Rosberg wins

Summary
  1. Rosberg wins manic race, Vettel 2nd, Kvyat 3rd
  2. Hamilton fights back after pitting five times
  3. Hamilton loses front wing on lap one, Ricciardo suffers puncture
  4. Raikkonen and Vettel collide on lap one as Ferrari boss watches

Doh! forgot to do predictions! I don't stand much chance like that!

Must admit its getting a bit samey already this year. Mercedes has the better hardware, yawn!. Haven't watched a single race yet as delay before it ends up on catch up keeps resulting in seeing the results first! Time to buy a firestick and hack it.

I'd prefer, do away with qualifying, have saturday purely as free practice, grid set as reverse grid of previous finish. (draw lots for first race of the season). financial penalty for causing an accident with funds passed to innocent victims team.

I got all my predictions wrong except for the one safety car....!!

Disagree, I think Ferrari and Red Bull and even Williams are showing major improvements compared to last season, the only same old same old are McLaren and keep an eye out for Haas F1, I think they are the dark horse, this is their first season but they have huge experience in NASCAR with their championship-winning Sprint Cup Series team, Stewart-Haas Racing.

@hard top I've just watched the highlights, even though I already knew who was going to win, and yes it was actually closer than I expected. It still needs something to bring the field closer together, maybe success ballast?

Just reviewed the prediction points I gained from the one race I've made predictions. A big fat zero, so probably not done as much harm as I thought!

Not in last place yet though! :D

I consider myself by far the strongest member of the team as I'm holding everybody up ........... or I'm just pants at predictions :arghh:

Well, I got some of the predictions right but it didn't move me up very far...

That is why I am enjoying this season so far, predictions are bloody difficult (except for Rosberg but I am to stubborn to vote for him)
Even being a die hard F1 fan I got bored last season and could not be bothered if I forgot my predictions or not, as you did not have to think about them.

IMHO the first three races have been great and I do not really care about qualifying to be honest, as I think as @Andy McDonnell pointed out a while back, it is all just smoke and mirrors....

Don't forget your predictions race fans....

Russian Grand Prix: Sebastian Vettel handed five-place grid penalty.

Ferrari said the damage to the gearbox was picked up in Vettel's first-lap collision with team-mate Kimi Raikkonen at the previous race in China.

World champion Lewis Hamilton described Red Bull's 'aeroscreen' head protection, being tested in Russian Grand Prix practice, as looking like a "riot shield".
Russian GP: Lewis Hamilton says he can't fall further behind Nico Rosberg.

McLaren's Fernando Alonso believes Formula 1 could be better off with less overtaking during races..o_O..
As another member on here would say...T@@t.

Have fun....

Russian Grand Prix qualifying
_89517596_lewis_hamilton_3_hero_ap.jpg

Summary
  1. Qualifying at 13:00 BST
  2. Vettel will take five-place grid penalty
You're going to see plenty of these red-rimmed rubbers today.
The super softs will be in full force as teams try to take advantage of the lack of degradation on the Sochi track.
It also means we could see divers out of the garage for longer and more competition for qualifying places. That's the hope, anyway.

Based on #FP3 if @MassaFelipe19 and @ValtteriBottas set off from Sibeia they could be in Alaska in less than 1m37s.

The Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg were neck and neck in final practice and we hope for more of the same in qualifying.
Hamilton was just 0.068 seconds quicker than his team-mate.
