not sure I agree with that decision. suspect @hard top won't be happy.
 
actually, just watched it again and maybe... maybe it was the right call, although if Vettel had "gone for it" while Max was on the grass, he'd have got the place anyway.
Rule book racing again.

TBH, I wanted Max to take himself and Vettel off the circuit and let Ricciardo through!
 
I read this the other day and totally agree,

Toro Rosso team principal Franz Tost says Formula 1 should do away with "nonsense" penalties and let the drivers race and have incidents. (Autosport)

Lewis Hamilton lives to fight another day, but the maths is simple for Nico Rosberg: Win in Brazil two weeks' time and he will be world champion.

The Vettel penalty was certainly a bonus, that gave me a clean sweep on the podium!

Closing the gap on @hard top but seems I need to pass RTR first now!
