EveningSo to finish the thread up, today we took delivery of some bits from BMW allowing us to fit the gearbox. The key item being the pivot pin and clutch fork.

Also while everything was off it makes sense to change the Guibo or flex disc as some people call it.

the final piece of the puzzle was to stick in the new gearbox oil. The old stuff was 3 years old and used to be red in colour.

2 hours later everything was back in and tight. Not a single bolt left
Test drive went perfectly, the gearbox shifts so nice and crisp, the gates can be felt and no 5th gear lean anymore. Now ready for collection tomorrow.

Gathering bits. You wouldn’t happen to have a list of part numbers for the detent pins. Can’t seem to find it on real oem.
Also any recommended parts doing whilst in there? Pivot pin and fork?
