What have you bought for your Zed this week?

More wheel paint, one day i will be happy with the colour. Originally Silver, painted black before i owned the car looked very flat and had to go so painted what was described as Gun metal, looked like primer so ordered Techno grey happy initially but now looks dull so now for colour number 5 and back to Silver. At least the wheels come off easy.

Can I bring mine over please

Got my oil for the Z3 yesterday already had the filter. So oil change today. Why do I still end up getting oil everywhere no matter how careful I am. This time forgot to take out the air vent plug completely from the tray, so overfload at the start, then I went inside quickly forgetting that the oil changes direction and drips, so I didn't catch it. Am a numpty honestly. Anyway all complete for another year or so

It’s taken a considerably longer time than expected, but I finally found an OEM luggage rack in really great condition AND at a fair price. Most of the ones I looked at were really rusty. This one was literally two mins from my house too…very pleased 🙂

Is that the drill into the boot lid version. Not sure i fancy that but on the flip side I guess it'll be easy and just so to seal and fix securely.
Can you post up pics as you do it ?..

I would.. but my car already came with the holes ..just no rack. Apparently there are marks on the underside of the boot which show you where to drill.

Finally got around to fitting the BBS staggered alloys I bought 5 years ago or something daft. New Bridgestone Potenza Sport tyres fitted. Tracking and MOT done.

Next purchase a DME…. Yes an ECU and some centre caps

Can anyone recommend a source of good quality replacement badges? Aliexpress specials don’t tend to last very long

Your car looks very nice.
You could treat it to some BS bling:

12 months on mine and still looking good.
A bit ridiculous maybe but good quality - better than the original ones fitted.
Good luck with getting your DME issue resolved.

I always use OEM badges. They seem to last for 20 odd years. Lucky to get 1 year from knock offs IME.

I can’t see the BS bling I’m afraid. Can I guess they’re the centre hub wheel spinners?

I’ll contact bmw for the OEM badges. Sometimes their prices are surprisingly good. Sometimes not so….

Paid for a very thorough post purchase assessment with BMW specialist Hughes Brothers in Derby, who look after my e30. No nasty surprises, thankfully, but we do have a plan for some ongoing maintenance. Very happy to have piece of mind and confirm I haven’t bought a wrong-un!

For the M Roadster, five screws, ten penny washers, thirteen ordinary washers, five Nyloc nuts, an A5 sheet of aluminium and about a metre of gold tape

I bought the same for the kit car, but only needed ten ordinary washers =))
