Hi, I have a Z4 2003 2.5.
It has 225 45 17 run flat tyres. I’m finding it a very hard ride and I am experiencing some tracking.
Can anyone recommend tyres that would give me a softer ride and better handling.
Thanks
CJK

Take my advice with a precaution as I am living in a very hot climate and have no idea on how they behave on heavy rain, but in terms of softness and grip
Michelin Pilot Sport 5 - best tyre I ever had in terms of road handling
Michelin Primacy 3 - a decent alternative
Non run flat both of them. No need to go run flat, just get yourself a repair kit.
Cheers.

I should have mentioned I am in England and I am looking for all weather tyres suitable for wet and snow.

If you want a specific all season tyre rather than a summer tyre , which is biased to a typical British winter then Goodyear Vectra 4 Seasons Gen3 is arguably the top dog performance wise…

I used them on my 20i Z4 E89 driving through the winter with good results…

if you want a tyre that performs better in snow then the Michelin Cross Climate 2 has the edge..I have them fitted to my Volvo XC70..

Once the temp drops below about 8c and especially in the damp / wet these tyres come into their own…

All IMHO..

I run the gen 3 Goodyear vector on my skoda in a 225 40 18 once ran in after 150 miles or so have proved a great tyre good grip in wet decent wear rate still decent in dry as well.

Stephen.
