Throttle pedal play

The first 1cm of pedal travel doesn't do much and feels lumpy, pedal travel beyond that is good.
I've adjusted cable tension but that didn't fix it.
And also looked at the bushings which looked new.

I then found this which is definitely wrong, how can it be fixed. Thanks for anyhelp.

Can anyone take a photo of this on their car so I can compare. It's a 97 1.9. It's at the end of the throttle pedal lever.

Thanks for this, I don't know how I missed that photo, must have read that thread 10 times. The issue was that the sound deadening was peeling off and so the hole ended up in the wrong place.
