I've just bought a 1998 Z3 2.8L and starting to work out all the little jobs that need doing. Hopefully not any major ones as the car has only done 10k miles since new. I also have an MGB but wanted something more modern and comfortable so started looking at a number of different makes and models but always came back to the Z3 as the best looking with a good performance and hopefully easy to maintain. No doubt I will be posting requests for advice and help as time goes on.

Welcome aboard, really low mileage but do check all the rubber pipes across the engine they do age, test the brake fluid for water content and refresh it, probably not been done in its life. I always change the oil and filters when I acquire another car then I know exactly what's in it for peace of mind. Change gearbox and diff fluids for same reason but yours should be still good with that mileage.
