I work for PistonHeads and we do online car auctions to a very large enthusiast market. I'm sorry if this is against forum rules but thought it might be relevant.
We sold a Z3M this year for £15k and one last year for £12k if that's any indication of the market. I'm not a consigner but I reckon OPs would be on the right side of £15k. After fees that's roughly £14k.

The SWVA sold a 2001 S54 MR for £11600 last week. Someone did well there!

Sorry to hijack the thread again but after fees that car seller would have cleared nearer to 10k which makes me even happier that I sold for cash on a straight deal. Values are definitely down.
It was me… buyer (me) pays the fees not the seller.
Blown away by the condition of this car, loving it so far.
Now that I’m a S54 owner, of course I subscribe to the fact that they are worth at least £20k more than the “lesser” cars….
(that is a joke, don’t be angry).
Well done you. A good car for a fair price. Enjoy, the S54 is a great engine; drove my S54 M Coupe over 200K miles, before parting with it almost 10 years ago now.
Do us a favour and post up a few pics of the condition of your bargain.
I had a look at the engine compartment pics and there was none of the usual rust spots. There were no shots of the underside though.
