Hi all, need the above for my 3.0.
16mm bar, NLA from BMW. Don’t really want power flex etc and struggling to find any.
Any clues please?
Ta.
Neil.

I assume you are aware that the 3.0 roadster has a 15mm rear ARB and the sport is 16mm. I found a couple of years back, like you, that the 16mm ARB bush is NLA from BMW. I could not find any aftermarket oners either at that time, only the powerflex type. I've not searched again recently though.
However, my local BMW dealer advised p/n 33552229604 would fit (from a 5 series I believe), so I bought two. These are actually 16.5mm (as stamped on the side), but measuring them are more like 16mm.
I have not got around to fitting them yet, but believe they will be okay.
Suggest you could check with your BMW dealer and get their opinion if these will fit
Alternatively, I was considering getting 15mm ones and boring them out or, reluctantly go to powerflex (nothing wrong with those of course but I want to stay OEM where possible).
Hope this helps.
Peter

Measured my bar at 16mm so assuming someone has put a M ARB on it. I’ll check out those other part numbers. Cheers guys.

It's only 1mm increase in diameter, but amounts to 30% increase in torsional stiffness. Would be quite noticeable particularly if the rest of the suspension is standard.
Good luck, let us all know how you get on.
Cheers

I came into the same problems for my 97 2.8i.

Autodoc had some but the brands were not the same so a matching set was near impossible to obtain and this was 4 years ago.

I ended up getting a set from SuperPro. Yes they are poly but they are certainly soft, compliant and squeak free.
