This one only has two wheels. The worlds fastest scooter at the time, 750cc twin with infinitely variable gearbox, nearly lost my license with this one, You really had no idea how quick you were going with it, the revs dont change with speed, Lousy ground clearance and would set fire to your right leg because of the exhaust from the leading pot. But lots of fun the DNO1

I have a huge history of Fords and Golf GTi's. Sadly I have very few photos as mobiles weren't really a thing. The "dressed" metro was the wife's car after my mates had hold of it on our wedding night. The black escort is an XR3 non injection. Loved that car!
My Mk1 Golf 1.8 GTi with in the day cool light conversion kit 😎😂. I was 19 when I had that, the insurance was mental nuts!! Good times!

I feel your pain with the car given the wedding treatment, back in 1975 I had a red Vitesse convertible and the nurses my wife worked decided to adorn it pretty much the same as you metro as she finished work prior to us getting married. They used shaving foam and the car forever had “Just married” etched into the red paint work on the boot lid no amount of T cut and elbow grease would shift it.

Love this thread, lots of nostalgia. No photos but first car, Alfasud 1.3 sc, think I've a piece of rust somewhere for proof 🤣. Austin Agro (sh*t brown) with interesting anti theft device, the gearstick came out of the floor!! Austin Princess in Emerald Green 💚. Twin headlights!! Then Audi's and vans. Currently household has Dacia duster, Peugeot 207cc and of course 1998 Z3.

Car I miss the most was a 1978 Fiat 124 spider. It was blue with a tan top and what got me hooked on two seat convertibles. Unfortunately some old man in a volvo ran a stop sign and hit me broadside. A small Italian car didnt stand a chance against a Swedish tank.

I also did a good amount of off roading and one of my Jeeps ended up here in the Uk.

Had a number of standard run of the mill cars over the years but my favourite by far was my Fiesta RS Turbo. Pretty much show condition so would be worth a fortune now :arghh:

Pic not mine but it was a white H reg.View attachment 354937
Jue had a white XR2i on the same year, great car mate 👍

Jeez mines a list that would bore the hell out of people BUT. First car was a Triumph Dolomite, loved it as probably everyone did their first set of wheels. Second was an absolute mint Capri 2.0 Ghia in Daytona Yellow, wish I still had it but I barrel rolled it one late dark night in the lanes. After that it was a few Cortina's and Granada's with a Saab 900 and Peugeot 405 thrown in until the company car days came along.
Did you ever have any Imola red Z3M's mate? Lovely cars those you know 😂
