Very nice, the classic pepperpot wheels look great on the Z3. Welcome from Derbyshire.
cheers bud, the wheels are 15 inch but the sidewall helps fill the wheel arch really well - and the ride is way better over our crappy UK roads ...

I am the original owner of a beautiful '99 Z3 1.9 in Black - totally original with 120k miles on the clock. Always on the look out for parts and hints n tips for keeping her running. London based interested in social meets with other owners. :) View attachment 357197

Newbie here from the states. I have to say, very impressed with the condition you kept her. She presents very nicely. Must be a person of character. What's it look like underneath? Nice to meet you and your car.

Cheers, the underneath is surface corroded but not to the point of rotting or needing remedial work - just normal for a 26 year old car in a cold climate. Thank you for the compliment she does present well :)

That's to be expected. With the warmer weather this year an undercoat would be smart, ya? I sport a 2000 z3 m52tub25, silver of course. Highly modified. No turbo. Newer engine. M50 manifold, coil springs. They look good dropped a little. Put some good quality spacers and 245 50s on BBS rims I ordered from your neck of the woods. Wrapped the interior with full grain leather then took out all plastic and put in real wood with a light orange veneer followed by 3 coats of sun resistant 2 part epoxy. Learned it all from this forum and YouTube along with Randy Rhodes. Perhaps you heard of him? He created the fix for the rear sub frame tear. My plan is to lower the rear sub frame and replace all the bushings. I only use BMW parts when I can. I have shrink cams and a BMW racing team in Florida tuned it over the internet. Many other mods but mainly used BMW parts from other cars. I bought her wrecked in the rear. Otherwise I would have kept her all original. I live in Colorado so I only drive it for about 4 months. No rust but got caught in a hail storm wich was about a 4 out of ten dings. She came with the rear spoiler made in Australia. In the states, it is a hard find to buy an original 2.8 for under 8000. The prices have gone up 30% in 5 years. I'll send some pictures but its cold and snowing right now. Don't know the horse power because I don't trust dyno tunes and really don't care. I can shift her at 6500 without pushing her to hard due to the cams, never had it over 7000. My five speed will leave Subaru WRX drivers with a good look at my rear ars. It will hold you to the seat and tickle your tummy but you better shift it fast after 3500 compliments of the m50 manifold. That's about enough out of me, beg your pardon. Cheers and wishing you and your good health and many more enjoyment from your gorgeous car.

thats allot of mods - would love to see some pics when the weather gets better - so my story, I bought my Z3 brand new from BMW Park Lane London in '99 - kept her for 3x years, chopped her in for a 320i Cab and regretted it almost within a week. Went back to Park Lane but they sold her....... I then put alerts in Autotrader, FB, Gumtree - everywhere hoping to maybe one day find her again in the small ads. AND I DID ! So now she's back on my driveway and to be fair her condition was not terrible, straight panels, only mod was a Sony Head but the other owner kept the original BMW OEM unit - I had her machine cut/ polished, huge service, brakes, filters, plugs all the things that wear out and she looks and drives decent. got a hardtop for her for winter its mild in the UK mainly just allot of rain so can be used daily (I don't but I could) - so I probably put $6k into her with bits n bobs but this is a labour of love, a hobby and she does make me smile everytime I look out the kitchen window and she her on the driveway :)
