Hello @billysally208 welcome to the forum. I was born in Staffordshire too, then they changed it to West Midlands, then I emigrated to Truro.
You'll enjoy your Zed even more when you join in the comradary here in the forum. There's always plenty of ride outs and meets throughout the year.
We're driving up to South Wales next weekend for a drive over Brecon Beacans

It doesn't matter what engine you have, the roof drops, the sun shines, we get out and have a great time! Paul rice on here has a 1.9 and believe me he sticks up with the best of them! In fact he's that good he's tag man on the fast group in a couple of weeks on my cruise! It's not all about speed, it's about enjoying your car and what it brings you. It's opened up a whole new hobby for me and I have some fantastic new mates. Get stuck in and enjoy!

I agree its something about the car that just has that habit of making you smile. Even walking in the garage and seeing her sat there makes me smile as im really happy to own a great car.
Engine size is our own preference but we all share one interest the love for a great car!!!

Well - Thank you everyone for the very warm welcome - I have three other cars and belong to a relevant Forum for each, but have never had such a response to my first post - it's great to see some humour on this forum, which seems to be missing on others.
I'm very happy with the car, and as I'm getting on a bit now the 1.9 has everything I need, and with all the fixed speed cameras, Gatso's, and mobile speed camera units about you have to be careful - mine will cruise at 70 all day which suits me (with an occasional blast to wake me up) - it is cheap to run ( £160 to insure), simple to work on, and parts seem to be reasonable and available. I do all my own repairs and servicing and am looking forward to replacing discs and pads and suspension in the near future.
Having said all that - the Z3 is a beautiful looking car and I get as much pleasure looking at it as I do driving it - it's parked up on the drive right outside the lounge window where I can easily see it - in fact I might go out and polish it and then go for a run.
Thanks again,
Alan

It pays for the things we enjoy in life though mate. I'm fairly lucky with my job cus most of the time i enjoy it but body tells me i can't do as much as i used to,knee's,back, arms etc all give me jip after a while. Never used to even stop for dinner breaks most days...i certainly do now...several times a day .
