Made a start on my seats.

Florrie (my Z) has had her seats refurbished a couple of times and the finish has cracked and split. Nothing ventured I thought and ordered some Furniture Clinic leather prep… phew it’s hard work getting past the top coat but once it meets the factory finish it takes it straight off.
I’ve just ordered some Acetone to get the top layer off quicker.
Once they are stripped I have some Furniture Clinic Topaz Blue to refinish them.
I’ll keep sweating and update this as I go.
Any tips or tricks please let me know…

I re dyed and repaired my M seats around 5 yr ago now using Furniture Clinic stuff and it still looks same as when i did it no cracks or splitting of the repaired area.

I've the Topaz Blue seat too. Patches of fadded colour, must have been a poor manufacturing fault IMO.

Im currently doing my two tone topaz blue and black seats too, finding it hard to get it to dry evenly and smoothly, but generally speaking it looks better

How are you applying the dye .
When I did mine i used an air sprayer to apply it rather than dabbing on found gave a really nice even finish.

Furniture Clinic is a company in England that specialises in supplying products to repair and re dye of furniture and car seats
They have a quite extensive range of colours for all sorts of stuff
If you have a unique or unusual colour ( like my Orinoco z3 seats ) then if you send them a sample they can do you a specific colour match dye.
