After a spirited blast, my cruise control doesn't like to work. If I stop the car and start again, it will work fine....ideas?
 
Scan for codes. If there is a "BTS implausible" code, then the brake switch has started to die.

There is also a clutch switch in the cruise system but it does not give too many problems.

Thanks for that, Brake switch situated at the base of the brake peddle?
 
Yes the brake switch is a the base of the brake peddle. It can be a little tricky to get out. There is a red?? collar (retainer) that needs to be popped out along the plunger before the switch can be removed.
 
you will need to press the brake pedal down to gain enough room to move the red collar fully forward, then the tabs on the switch are able to be pressed in to remove the switch.
I used a length of wood between the pedal and the front of the seat, then moved the seat forward to press the pedal down whilst I removed the switch.

Cheers mate, its behaving at the moment...but when i am in the position when its dead, il use this advice. Is it a serviceable part or is it a new switch job? Are they expensive?
 
The brake switch is not serviceable and not expensive to buy
