F1 Fantasy F1 2024 Season.

The best we ever did was 26 out of 130 starters. We "beat" every single broken down Cossie, 6R4 and RS2000 that day!

So few photos though.

Spa F1 GP this weekend folks, predictions in before 15:00hrs GMT Saturday, good luck 👍

Russell's car found to be 1.5kg underweight, with the Stewards. Standby .......

🇧🇪| GEORGE RUSSELL has been disqualified from the Belgian Grand Prix as his car was found to be 1.5kg below the mandated minimum weight (796.5kg vs 798kg).

- This weight difference is worth around 0.05 seconds per lap on a track like Spa, or slightly over 2 seconds over the race distance.

Oops 🤣 Sad for George but the 1 stop strategy that he suggested meant he burnt to much rubber off as he'd worn the tyres well past there sell-by date resulting in the car being underweight.

Also the nature of this Grand prix means no parade/warm down lamp so no opportunity to pick up the waste rubber balls on the track. These are the margins they work too.
Good result for me though never been so high in the league.

an extremely harsh rule to apply at the end of a race. Dry weight before the race and before fuel would be much fairer. predicting burnt off consumables, whether tyres, oil, brake components must be difficult.

I do feel sorry for George, and my knee jerk reaction, was "sack the engineer!", but actually, just an error in the heat of the race.

isn't quite right, because the weight reduction occurred over 34 laps, and as we don't know how much rubber is lost per lap, he may have only had the weight advantage for say 10 laps? Even then it would have been from zero gain to 1.5kg gain.

I got a total of 5 points for my predictions

Nostradamus I ain't
