Hi All,

Has anyone cracked this nut or found a CD shuttle replacement that works with non I-bus radios such as the above. There is a guy selling nodded business rds where the blue tooth takes the place of AM radio which I would prefer but he is charging an arm and a leg. So it can be done. I am hoping one of you are electronically minded and has done so and is willing to share.

Hello,

I am also looking for Bluetooth adapter that would work with this radio
BMW Business RDS Phillips PH7850.

In the picture below is the connector in the boot of my car for the CD changer.
Is there a Bluetooth adapter version that connects to this?

Hey sorry to revive an old thread but did you ever find a solution to Bluetooth on your business rds ph7850? I also saw you in another thread but couldn't figure out if you had got it working!

If you do struggle with this you could just use a bluetooth cassette adaptor.
Some of them come with a microphone for calls.

I have read bad reviews about sound quality in bluetooth cassette adaptors + you have to charge them or plug into lighter socket anyway.
For Bluetooth I am currently using FM transmitter that also plugs into lighter socket. Sound quality isn't the best but usually works fine.

The best option out there for original Phillips PH7850 Business RDS is modification of done by the guy in Estonia. He replaces AM modules for bluetooth and also programs displays. He's priced the mod rather high tough BMW Business RDS Bluetooth Service

Have you tried iSimple? I use it in my old Jaguar for a Bluetooth connection. I use the IS 31 model. The device plugs straight into the aerial socket on the back of the radio, the car aerial plug goes into a splitter on the ISimple device. You then tune the radio into 1 of 2 frequencies and because the ISimple is plugged directly into the radio it provides the strongest signal overriding everything else. You then tune your Bluetooth device into the ISimple device and away you go. More expensive ISimple devices offer more functionality.
