Aircon Help : Simple Question

As per usual the internet is providing me with conflicting information regarding the correct workings of a Z3 auxiliary Aircon fan.
So, a couple of simple questions for anyone with a pre facelift Z3 with Aircon:

Does the auxiliary fan come on briefly each time you start your engine?

Does the auxiliary Aircon fan come on as soon as you press the Aircon switch?

My Aircon system works, and the auxiliary fan works, but does not come on in either of the above scenarios and I am unsure if it should?

I just went out and checked both my 2.8 the m52 and tu both aircon from new

The answer to your first question is no the aux fan does not come on at each start if the aircon is on at start up it may engage with the start up though as if the compressor engages the fan will come on with it but definitely not if air con off.

Now to check your second question i had to cold start both cars but as soon as the air con button pressed the compressor clutch engages and aux fan kicks in then fan kicks on and off with the compressor electromagnetic clutch engagement
