I am integrating an aftermarket keyless entry and push-button start into my 1997 BMW Z3. I've successfully installed the ignition side, but I'm hitting a wall with the door locks. My aftermarket module puts out a negative trigger, and I am using a relay to convert this to the positive trigger required by the BMW ZKE IV module.
I'm currently tapping into Pins 4 (Lock) and 17 (Unlock) on the 26-pin yellow connector behind the glovebox (White/Red/Yellow wires). I’ve also tried the harness in the driver’s kick panel, but the actuators aren't firing. Is there a specific pulse duration required, or am I running into a conflict with the factory double-lock (anti-theft) system?"
