I can try to get a picture later, but wondering if anyone has run into this. Guessing I'll need a new trim piece. The passenger side (right side here in the rightfully despised USA) A pillar has a trim cap that's popped loose at the top. No clue how it happened...car is super low mileage and babied, but regardless, it needs to be fixed.

I tried popping it back but it just pops loose again right away. Anyone have any advice? Part #.

Also, I still have the original floor mats, but the backing is coming off. Anyone ever had them redone? I've tried to find OEM replacements, but no luck there.

I purchased a set of mats for my z3 from cocomats in tanin red to match the originals which were worn out. Great quality but a little pricy. With regard to the trim. A little silicon would hold it and it can still be removed. I assume it's broken if it won't clip in and stay there.

Cocomats are the way to go. I bought a set 25 years ago, and after 215,000 miles, the driver's side is FINALLY worn out and I replaced it last month. The passenger side still looks basically new. Amazingly, I still regularly get compliments about my freaking floor mats from people.

Customer service from these folks is amazing. When I bought these way back when, the heel pad was different than was described and pictured on their website. It wasn't a big deal, but I wrote them an email, and they surprised my be sending me a new driver's side mat with the pictured heel pad. I offered to send back the one I had, and they told me to keep it. I held on to it all this time, and THAT's the mat I am now using since last month.

Also, the fit is perfect. No clips or velcro patches are needed.

So...Cocomats: great company and great product. Worth the cost.

Could not agree more. Mine have shown a bit of wear but a quick wash and they look, good again.

So, I looked them up. Looks like they have a bunch of different types of mats. Did you get the actual coco mats? What did you do about color? My black Z has a tan interior...guessing it would be hard to match, so maybe go contrasting?

I got the coco mats in red which is almost an exact match for my tanin red interior. They are very good quality.

I got the actual cocomats. I have a silver car with a black interior, and so I got the black mats with the silver dots for contrast.

I can see by comparing the ones in storage for 25 years compared to the one sitting in the car all this time that the black has faded slightly on the old/used one, but I think I am the only person who would ever notice.

I autox my car, so I regularly have new passengers in the passenger seat going for rides with me, and it is surprising how I STILL get compliments about these mats! Things like "Wow, these are cool mats - what are they?" or "These floor mats look great - did BMW offer these back in the day?"
