2002 Z3 electrical issue

2002 My Z3 has a short where fuse F7 dock lock fuse blows upon first activation. In addition, I see the Brake and DSCX (Dynamic Stability Control) yellow warning lights come on intermittently. There is no code showing up on my Peake R5/fcx. This intermittent condition occurs even after the fuse has blown. Is it possible these 2 systems are connected or having wiring in the same proximity to each other? (The brakes and DSC seem fine when the intermittent lights come on. The lights could come on or go off while driving around - I can't point to anything that triggers this condition).

Where should I start looking? I did try a 7.5amp in that 5amp F7 position, but it blew as well. Any help would be appreciated.

I would always look at the parts of the wiring loom that involve repeated flexing of cables. For example the boot lid or the doors. As what I assume your typo meant to say with "dock" is actually "door", then look there first. Secondly look for signs of long term water ingress in places such as the boot and footwells. After that you're into studying the entrails of disembowelled chickens I'm afraid!
