Gaz, am I ok to post about services I offer? I don't do it professionally as our shops take up too much time, but on the "other" Z forum, I've helped a lot out with roof repairs, exhaust mods and coding/diagnostic work. Just wanted to ask first, rather than fall foul of any rules regarding "traders" which I am actually not lol.

Hi Mike, don't have a problem with it. We add a tag to your member profile stating you are a "3rd Party Trader". We tag all the Zed breakers which shows people you have at least some legitimacy advertising here. There is no buyer/seller protection on here, so you are on your own if people complain about what you offer! Otherwise fine by me!

I have ordered two fobs one from a breakers yard and one from BMW, once they arrive the next tricky bit will be to re-programme them into the module, I have picked up a lot of good tips from the forum, thank you.

Ian - I'm a new member just finding my feet with forum. Had my Z3 (the beast) about 8 months, she's looking good as recently re-sprayed, new hood and alloys refurbished. My next task is to try and get the existing car alarm to work. On the search for fobs which didn't come with the car.

There's a couple of threads on here about fobs, BMW still sell them if needed. Enjoy :)

Hi I'm new here. Just got my with a 1999 z3 it has 18" alloys on but have got the original ones with it what size tyres should be fitted on them are the front and rear different sizes

Hi, it depends on the actual wheel width. They could be anywhere between 7" and 8.5" so the tyre size will vary depending on that!

Hi Gaz. We meet on the new forest run on Sunday, which was a great day
Could we please put our name down for two tickets for the beaulieu show in July.
How would we pay for them,
    GazHyde
    GazHyde
I'll add you to the list, payment for tickets isn't due quite yet. I'll tag everyone when it's time to pay up. I buy them in one go and then send them out, or you collect from me on the morning at a pre-show meetup!
How do i go about booking tickets for Shepshed and Beaulieu
    GazHyde
    GazHyde
@Dale Jarvis - just reply to the threads and you'll be added to the lists. No ticket required for Shepshed. Beaulieu tickets won't be sorted for a while, just need your name on the list!

Hi all, well, I think the clutch on my 2.8 Z3 is finally on its way out. Makes a strange humming noise every time I push the clutch in when stationary. Also does'nt feel very smooth between gears - almost bites if you dont change slowly. No loss of power however. Anyone got an idea how much £ I'm in for if it is indeed a new cluch thats needed? Dont think I would be able to take this one on myself. Cheers. Dj.

I don't know how much it costs for a clutch change these days, when mine went we changed it ourselves, so only paid for the parts...

Hi Gaz, forgive the formality, been a member for 12 months, have a 97-8 2.8 without roll hoops and I have been searching for roll hoops and necessary boxes and I have managed to purchase today. The hoops came off a 51 plate but as I'm crap a fitting stuff do you know who might be able to fit them for me? I would like a good job doing but not sure where to start?
Cheers Cad buxton area but will travel

Hi. Bit far for me to help, but I'm sure if you post a thread in the general banter someone nearer would jump in and offer to help you!
Hi Gary purchased tickets on the beaulieu site but been told should of purchased through you . I contacted Ed Gould who asked if you could contact him to confirm space
cant advertise as for sale 'cos its free When I purchased my Z4 (2008 facelift), the front right spotlight was loose, a broken mount - the only way to replace was to purchase a complete unit - light and mount. So if you have time to strip the glass and mount - then re assemble. free to collect- West Midlands, can post if you cover the cost - seems a waste to throw away a good glass -
