If there's no oil showing it's more likely to be leaking past the the valve. Best strip it, may just be an O ring. If it's strippable...

It was!! Probably the best car I have owned. Lots of maintenance cost though and fuel cost (20/25 mpg). Great memory though. :)

For anyone curious, this ended up being a blocked converter. Replaced and car now runs and drives great. Resolved.
