What is this electrical plug for?

Whilst swapping in a pair of heated seats to my pre facelift Z3 I found one of these connectors hidden under the carpet of each seat: what would they connect to?

Mine has those (unused) plugs under the seats aswell. I wonder if they were for seat bolster airbags which the Z3 was never fitted with, in the UK at least? Or maybe occupancy sensors?
