Currently £760 for me, and will go up to £790 in April.

It was 'only' £400 when I bough the car.

£378,that's only £31.50 per month, but it's a matter of choice. You can always drive a car that's cheaper to tax. We all moan about taxes, but then moan about the government not spending enough on health, education, defence, potholes, etc, etc. The money has to come from somewhere and unlike Reform's backers and Mr Tice, we can't all hide our fortunes overseas or avoid taxes here.

It’s very hard, this political wasteland we find ourselves in.
Just been trying to avoid enormous potholes that would take the side off if hit at the regular speed limit. Yes, it was snail’s pace mph but preserved the car.
Come The Revolution!!!

I got my latest Council Tax bill yesterday...£3,241.85 this year. So glad they included the 85p!

For collecting our bins. That's the only thing I see. And at Xmas the Council put a facebook post up saying we should thank them and give them presents.

Oh and £1,670.00 road tax for three ordinary cars.

Yes, the emptying of the bins is really the only visible sign of how our council tax is paid, Pond. When they aren't emptied, which is happening here and now in Week 5 of such a blatant breach of contract, forces the question as to why pay it anyway?
