7 and 10 pins have voltage.
I am thinking to test rest of the signal brown pins at this point.

How do I test the new microswitch that it is good before I replace the faulty one?

My multimeter did not show any continuity across the pins for the new micro switch, but when I checked ohms, it shows 0.5 kohm not pressed and 2.8 kohm while pressed. I assume the new switch is good. I will replace the old one. Micro switch has 2 plastic rods for attachment to panel, I assume I have to melt them to bond to the holding plate but when I get the old micro switch out I might have a better idea how the switch had been attached to the plastic plate.

How does this micro switch attach to the plate? Melt those rods into the holes?

OMG,
you may ask this guy with the same problem. :ymalien:

To all others with similiar problems:
Don't touch these switches in the roof shell: they hardly ever fail. As re-mounting ist not so simple, avoid touching it.

Care about the broken and/or shortened wires in the upper bow behind the rear roof shell.
