True again, but the strength of the screen as part of the vehicle structure isn't a testable item, yet. If you look at the testers manual on here a see the actual size of zone "A" you might be surprised how small it really is.
Regarding Jack Ratt's comment about using you experience to judge things, absolutely bang on. Younger testers don't have this and cover their arse by failing things which maybe shouldn't fail.
Tony.

Tony.
. my only saving grace is they want to close early today. I drive it daily and it should be obvious if something is wrong, but this isn't always the case, i had a spring go just like tony described, and i didn't notice even when driving hard. The zed failed a couple of years ago on lower ball joint and again i couldn't feel it.
. 2 advisory - obviously windscreen and the other (had the same for years) front number plate broken but can be read and is unlikely to fall off. he did say there is wear and deterioration on the suspension geometry but is not unusual on a car of this age and he has not put it in the advisory's (guess i will be crawling around under my zed come summer). i was expecting the passenger lower arm as i changed the drivers side a couple of years back due to a failed ball joint but its still ok. so now i can wait till the screen is 12 months old before claiming again (wouldn't want them to bump up my premium, think i need to have a chat with a certain member on here when renewal is due)
dont know why but when its cold even a small knuckle scuff or knock really hurts.
