Feel your pain, hope it's not too bad?! My Volvo R gets left for long periods unused and the brakes get a bit rusty but touch wood she always works her way through it! Never leave the handbrake on!!

Due to the crappy 3 years we've had with health in our family, my motorbike had been standing for 3 years. It has cost me the best part of £1000 to restore it. I hate to think how much it would have cost if I hadn't done it all myself!!!

Just replaced a front spring on my focus. Only done 16000 miles. Like peeps have said on here, they are not so robust and the roads are in a poorer condition.

89000 miles, so clearly needed doing.

The grinding noise might not be the brakes after all, but just the car collapsed onto the front tyres.
Left it with the garage with instruction i need an MOT by 4th Nov'

My BMW Indy garage called this afternoon.

Spring's done, new battery, my brakes seem to have come back to life, so they were on ther way to MOT when the
engine management light came on, so aborted.

Diog' points to camshaft sensor, they will let me know in the morning.

I had a price in my mind when i booked it in. This could work out alot cheaper than i was expecting, fingers crossed.
