After a “funny turn” and 2 nights in the hospital I’ve been told I can’t drive for 6 months. Gutted.
I suppose the positive is that it’s winter and the Z3 is going into hibernation but it still feels pretty s***. :-(

That's crap mate. I had a similar affair a couple of months ago. They revoked my HGV but let me hold on to my car licence.
Got it back now after further tests. Hope its nothing serious.

I had a funny do a couple of Xmas' ago, its was documented on here, basically my wife found me on the bathroom floor, I was bradicardic and my pulse was 18, it took the paramedics 30 to stablize me before they could take me to hospital, I have never had any health issues at all and actually thought it was the end, the Dr that see me at first siad he would have to inform DVLA as I had blacked out, then changed his mind and decided that it was a condition called syncope, basically when we go for a we our body has to relax and mine just went to far, its very common in men.

Thanks, I don’t really know yet, just time will tell. Had about 3 weird seizures on Saturday morning and a stay in hospital for the trouble. Tests look clear and it may be one of those things that happen to a 45 year old after a boozy night but it could be something more.
Only time will Tell

Looking on the bright side at least you won't miss a good summer of Zedding. Hope it's nothing too serious and you can be back to driving in April 2019. Best of luck:thumbsup:

My next door neighbour is just going through the same thing. He had a funny turn and fell down some stairs in a cafe, paramedics then hospital for a couple of days. Next thing he has to hand in his driving licence. His own doctor sent letter to appeal, didn't do any good, still got about 2 months to go.
I've told him if he needs any assistance for anything just to let me know.
Hope all goes well with you and that it isn't too serious.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I have been getting a problem with my left knee.....self inflicted as I play walking football, but I have a cure...
Change my 1.9 manual for a 2.8 automatic:)

I wasn't allowed to drive for at least 3 months after heart surgery 10 years ago now and It was a long 3 months but eventually I got behind the wheel again with another 4 weeks before I went back to work.

I had around 6 months away from driving a couple of years ago due to illness, spent 3 of them in hospital so at least I was away from the zed so didn't miss it too much. Not long after getting back in the zed I bought another so at least some good came from it.

It will soon pass and at least it's coming into winter. I'm sure you would rather have 6 months away from driving and have your health as it should be though. Get well soon

Good luck and take heed of the advice your doctors give you. Anyway, 6 months out of the car will go infinitely quicker than the 6 weeks "out of the saddle" after a newborn baby, especially considering the threats to your well being from the other half for even being in the same building without your keks on =))
