BMW z3 wheel arch dent

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice on repairing the driver’s side rear quarter panel on my 1997 BMW Z3 2.8 (Arctic Silver). Unfortunately, it picked up a fairly nasty dent over the wheel arch while it was parked in a car park, and whoever did it drove off without leaving any contact details. The paint seems to be mostly intact, but there are a couple of sharp creases and the arch has been pushed in slightly. I’ve attached some photos. I’m trying to keep costs as low as possible while still ending up with a decent repair. Has anyone had similar damage repaired on a Z3? Would you recommend paintless dent repair or is there another approach you’d suggest? Any estimates, recommendations, or experiences would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance!

Arches are bolt on and looking at the damage a replacement would be easiest

Going with the flow here, new bolt on panel seems best all rounder.

Any CCTV where you parked ?.
Have you reported it as a Fail to stop damage only collision..

Here's hoping for CCTV, it may help.
That happened to us in York, a very nice gentleman left a note and full contact details and paid for the repairs even though we had returned home a couple of hundred miles away. It really restored my faith in human beings!

Still a strange looking dent(s). Not like a vehicle unless it reversed in 3 or more times for good measure. Looks more like somebody has gone at it a few times with a mallet.

I have a pair in my loft … they are blue … but different blues

don’t mind selling the drivers side one on its own but wouldn’t like to send by post or courier as it would end up damaged.
and I am in Bognor on the South Coast !!!!

Wow, that sucks. I have really bad luck with parking lot damage with my vehicles. I now park way out away from the bulk of the cars to avoid it, but even then someone managed to dent the door on my months old Telluride last summer. I've had 3 vehicles receive $1000+ damage within months of purchase over the years. One of them before it was even 24 hours old. None came with a note or offer to cover repairs.

I agree with others....that almost looks intentional. Not sure how you'd get damage like that with a typical door ding or clip from another vehicle. It's not easy to get dents like that without removing paint (or leaving some from the other vehicle).
