Got into this low mileage car(101KM) at the right price. Motor is tight and body panels in relatively good condition with very minor rust showing. The biggest challenge will be dealing with undercarriage rust. Nothing poked through on the screwdriver test on the frame, but who knows how bad it will be under the sills.

Always wanted one of these. I had a Miata back in the day because I couldn't afford the Z3. Looking forward to being part of the community!

Welcome from me in North Germany.

The 1.9s are super simple and easy to work on. Germany is notoriously expensive for parts so shop around the EU for any bits you might need.

Oh by the way, first thing I'll be doing is selling the hardtop if any of you might be interested.

I included the typical rust and the one place that has scary rust.
That doesn’t look to be too bad. It looks like the rust has only attacked where the outer protection covering has been compromised. Localised clean, treatment and protection may be all that’s needed there.
That bracket never had good corrosion protection but, at least with the right tools and prayers, it is replaceable. A wire brush to get rid of the loose stuff will show the real state of it.

Hi and welcome from me in Scotland :welcome: .

I am an Mot tester here in the Uk so as such ( and with my time on the forum ) i have seen under a good few Zed 3 with varying mileage your pictures you have put up so far trust me seen way worse 😀.

A place over here thats bad for terminal corrosion to a very expensive part is the rear trailing arms ( especially the right rear ( offside rear uk )) the inner curve of the arm seems to form severe corrosion that ends up holing the arm
They are dealer only ( pre face-lift 6cyl and face-lift use sane arm ) 4cy pre face-lift uses different one for the narrower body and rear track
but here the 6cyl arm bare ( no bushes etc ) are nearly £1700 each.

You will finds so many of the work needing done is kicking about on here a lot with how to guides but if you have a specific question on something stick a post up in the relevant section abd someone is bound to cone along and help out .

Stephen.
