For Sale 2000 2.0i Z3 Roadster 29,500 miles

After a lot of soul-searching, I’ve decided to sell my Z3. I bought it as a retirement present to myself in 2020, for summer road trips and as a potential retirement hobby with hands-on maintenance. I’ve only done 5,000 miles in 6 years; it just sits in the garage, and if I’m being honest, it’s a bit of a faff getting it out. With the expense of tax, insurance, MOTs, etc., I’ve decided I’m not getting value for money, and I’d like it to go to someone who will really appreciate the car and get some joy out of it.

The car is in superb condition, more or less original, with very low mileage and always garaged. I’ve only used the Z3 on dry summer days. The car has always been fully maintained by BMW independent specialists; I have full service history with lots of documentation. I’m the 3rd owner as follows:

1. Lady driver who owned the car for the first 12 months and 9,554 miles.
2. Elderly gentlemen who owned the car from 2001 to 2020 and completed 15,013 miles; the car was always garaged.
3. I’ve owned the car from 2020 until now, I’ve done 4,933 miles; the car is always garaged.

The car is booked in for the MOT next week (11th March), so it will be sold with a year’s MOT. I have drafted an advert on AutoTrader, and it will go live as soon as the Z3 passes the MOT. I have absolutely no idea about the price; I guess it’s a “suck it and see”, but I’m thinking, in view of the low mileage and excellent all-original condition, I will try for £6,495, but I’d welcome your views on whether I’m pitching it too high (or low).

There are minor scratches and stones chips consistent with age and mileage.

NOTE
One small issue: the driver’s door lock button is slow to go up and down. The central locking and alarm work fine; it’s just that the button doesn’t always fully pop up or retract when the car is opened or locked by the remote key. You can, of course, use the key in the door if this happens. The mechanism may just need some cleaning and lubrication; I’ve never been brave enough to remove the door card and have a look.

I’d put it up at that price ..low mileage and looks like new. You might have to wait a few weeks for the sun to come out again, but it’s getting to the right time of year to sell.
