The zinc plating looks really cool :thumbsup: I've used electrolysis before when I was restoring the rear subframe to get the rust off which was very effective but I haven't ever tried plating. Great way to restore all the hardware without having to spend silly money on new nuts and bolts...

Bump! I managed to get hold of one from a 1.9 which was fairly clean with no splits but unfortunately it doesn't fit with the pre-facelift widebody rear quarters. It's too short! If anyone has one of these to spare from a 2.8 pre-facelift I'll take it. By the time I've found one without any...

I've ordered some stuff from here on a couple of occasions before as they were showing availability for parts that my local dealer couldn't source for me. I eventually had my orders cancelled as the parts were NLA from BMW - I don't think the process they use for checking availability of parts...

Great choice for a first car but then again I may be biased! :whistle: 2k is a bargain to insure the 2.8 at 17. Mine was double that to insure my 1.9 Z3 almost 10 years ago! :welcome:

Thanks @IainP yes that would be appreciated but no rush. Here are the latest pictures from the bodyshop, although it looks better than before it still isn't perfect. Before Now I'm going over tomorrow to see if I there is any play in the plastic slider bracket to try and force the bumper...
