we've had our Z3 for just under 2 years now, it's always had a slightly lumpy tickover which I think is quite common for the M44. I changed the spark plugs 18 months or so ago with Bosch Super4's and never really noticed any change with the tickover.
Last week I ordered a set of NGK Iridium IX plugs and fitted them a couple of days ago, wow what a difference, the tickover is much improved and the engine feels far more responsive through the gears, at least another 30bhp o_O probably!
When it's time to do your next service I would seriously recommend trying a set, these are the ones: BKR6EIX 6418

:thankyou:

I've noticed too the big difference between the Bosch and the NGK recommended in the owner's manual!
So next Inspection I'll try also the up graded Iridium!:)
Thanks for sharing!;)

Sounds good - a quick Amazon search shows them @ ~£41 for four - is that reasonable?
